Interesting fact(s):  The Red-winged Blackbird is native to North America. During migration it can travel at over 30 mph.

Additional Information:

Comments:  We usually see these birds perched on the highest low plant life around ponds, making a distinct shrill gutteral call. The female (not yet pictured below) is mostly brown.
